David Reginald Williams
Born on January 9, 1958 in Dover, Delaware to the late Frank J. Nix and Elsie O. Potts-Williams. He went home to glory on October 10, 2018, 8:30 a.m. at Bayhealth Medical Center.
David graduated from Smyrna High School in Smyrna, DE in 1976. After graduating, David went on to work for the State of Delaware as a custodian which led to a title of Facilities Manager. He gave a total of 20 plus years of service in the Smyrna School District, St. Andrew's Private School, Wesley College and Providence Creek Academy.
David was known throughout the community as "Bing"; a name that will follow him forever. He loved hanging with his friends, playing tennis and being with his children and grandson. David had a love of football and tenis. His favorite football teams were his only grandson's team and the Chicago Bears.
David was proceeded in death by his father, Frank J. Nix, two brothers, Timothy W. Nix, and Glenn S. Williams and his wife of 27 years Brenda Williams.
He will be cherished and remembered by his mother, Elsie D. Potts-WIlliams; four(4) daughters , Niya Bolder (Kris), Rebecca Williams, Serenity Draine, and Nevaeh Draine; one (1) son, Garrett Williams; and one (1) grandson, Jalen Evans. He also leaves four (4) sisters, Deborah Toppin (Russell), Regina Faulkner (Louis), Darcel Carter (David) and Sandra Dee Nix (Nate), and a two (2) brothers, Michael Williams (Shirley) and Timothy Stevens (Terry); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a devoted friend Orlanda Backus.
