Lamar, aka “Tit Tit”, age 41 of Wilmington, Delaware formally of New Castle, Delaware grew up in Simond Gardens. He was well known and loved by the community.
Lamar had a passion for music; especially playing the drums. When he was younger he could often be found at one of the local skating rinks. Lamar loved four wheelers and was a known car enthusiast. He was a member of a local auto group entitled “273 Car Meet”.
Lamar was very outgoing with the ability to make anyone laugh.
In 1996, he welcomed his daughter, Ayreonna Elam. Then in 2001, he welcomed his namesake, Lamar Elam, Jr.
Lamar was employed at W. L. Gore in Elkton, Maryland for 14 years as a Manufacturing Lead.
Lamar is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Butler, Jr.
“Tit Tit” is survived by his mother, Peggie Baxter; daughter, Ayreonna Elam; son, Lamar Elam, Jr; sisters, NyEasha Harper (Bryant Harper), Dennisha Melton; grandson, Alijah Perry, Jr.; fiance’, Cindy Socorso as well as her children; devoted aunt, Margaret Pinkney; devoted cousins, Troy Pinkney, Tanesha Pinkney, Marcelle Haskins, Malaika Livingston; Godmother, Starmaine Ayers; Godfather, Anthony Chandler as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
