Obituary for Thomas Stanley Spence, Jr.

Thomas Stanley Spence (Tommy) was born to the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth Spence April 7, 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware. He departed his life March 4, 2019 surrounded by family and friends in Wilmington, Delaware.

Tommy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Cannon Baptist Church.

Tommy received his early education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware. He then later went to Job Corps and earned his certification in Culinary Arts. After, earn ing his certification, he then went on to become a head chief for the Philadelphia Eagles for many years. Tommy later met the love of his life and long-time companion Jill Marie and moved to Georgia.

Tommy was a well-liked, respectable man who was loved by everyone. He loved to help others and would give his last to anyone that needed it. Tommy loved to travel, cook, tell jokes, sing and loved being with his family, especially his sons.

Tommy was a Great Man, Loving Husband and a Wonderful Father.

Tommy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jill Marie Spence; two sons, Terrell Mobley and Teeo Morton; three step-children, Lamar Brown, Lavelle Cunningham, Tyrone Brown; sisters, Delores Harris, Margret Spence, Terry Daniels (Reverend Robert). Carol Spence and Myra Spence; two brothers, Thomas Spence Jr. and Adrian Spence (Pamela; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister, Diane Brown and brother, Gary Spence.

Tommy our only brother-in-law. We will miss you and the funny talks and joking around. You came through the storm. Lived a life of love and peace. Jill I know you have lost your best friend, anchor and love. Tommy will always be in your heart. God needed him a little sooner than we were ready to let go. Tommy sleep peacefully and Jill continue to love him in your heart. God has the both of you.
