Obituary for William M. Winchester

William Michael Winchester, affectionately known as “Bill", was a Wilmington Delaware native who passed away on Dec 28th, 2018 after succumbing to his battle with cancer.

The middle child of four (Dwight J, David L & Lemuel D Winchester), Bill was the second son born to mother, Beulah Blackston, and father, Lem Winchester, a respected Police Captain and world-renowned Jazz vibraphonist. Bill and his brothers lost both of their parents very early in life, however Bill managed to survive with the love support of family and extended family.

Bill attended Bayard Jr High School. Bill spent 23 years of his professional life employed by American Building Maintenance, who had contracts with companies such as DuPont.

Bill his preceded in death by his ex-wife, Chestine Winchester, who passed away only a month before Bill, who maintained a relationship with his step children.

Bill is survived by his only child, Michael Everett; one grandchild, Jadenna Monae; and nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
